In art class we have learned about drawing with different mediums such as graphite, charcoal and pastels. With graphite pencils we learned how to shade. With pastels we did a variety of things with the "One Line Art Challenge," and we created our first portrait. Our most recent project was "The Morph Project." In this project we turned one thing into another through a series of drawings. See my work below.
In starting High School, I was most looking forward to finally getting to take a real art class. This class did not disappoint. We worked on some meaningful projects that taught me fundamentals of drawing I did not know before. In this class we learned to critique our own work as well as the work of others. This is helpful because it lets me critically think about what I have created and how I can improve.
What I did for this project was draw a tiger with only black and white colored charcoal. The steps I took were
2: Charcoal black and white
3: Blending stumps
4: Kneaded eraser
5: Gray toned paper
- Print the picture that I am going to draw.
- Choose the art utensils that I will use.
